Our Doctors
Dr. Barbara Smith – Owner
Dr. Smith, the owner of Ark Animal Hospital, was honored to receive 1st place for the category of veterinarian in the Bucks Mont area from the Calkins Media Group, and was also voted one of America's Top Veterinarians by the Consumer's Research Council of America. Dr. Smith is a 1978 graduate of The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and loves working with owners and their pets to help them achieve their most wonderful long-lasting life together. She enjoys working with dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets and birds as Family Practice is her specialty. Dr. Smith also enjoys hiking with her dogs and spending time with her four children.

Dr. Maureen Stokes –
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Stokes is a 1979 graduate of the Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania where she first met and became friends with Dr. Smith. She especially enjoys surgery and developing close relationships with clients and their pets. Dr. Stokes has three grown children and lives in Washington Crossing with her husband Randy and their dog Henry. In her spare time, she enjoys vacationing in Maine, gardening, cycling, kayaking and reading.

Dr. Scott Johnson -
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Johnson joined our staff after graduating from the Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania in May, 2008. He enjoys surgery and internal medicine and looks forward to developing close relationships with clients and their pets. He shares a house in Doylestown with his dog, Greg. In his spare time, he enjoys walks with Greg, movies, spending time with his friends, and relaxing by the pool.

Dr. Debbie Hollenbach -
Staff Veterinarian Dr. Hollenbach is a 1992 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she worked in a small animal practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1996 her family relocated back to her home state of Pennsylvania and she joined the staff at Ark Animal Hospital in 1997. She lives with her husband Rich and their two sons, Ricky and Jonathon. Her household currently includes two dogs; Allie and George, and three cats; Boffo, Kitty Kong and Stripes. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, exploring new places with her sons, and creating scrapbooks/photo albums of their adventures.

Dr. Mary Ann Seagren -
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Seagren joined Ark Animal Hospital's staff in September 2009. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1994. She has been a practicing small animal veterinarian in this area since 1995. Dr. Seagren taught for ten years in the Program of Veterinary Technology at Manor College. She is the author of several chapters in McCurwin's Clinical Textbook for Veterinary Technicians. Originally from the Hudson Valley, N.Y., Dr. Seagren lives in Bucks County with her husband and two sons. She likes to spend her time off reading, running and traveling.

Dr. Julie Neff -
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Neff is a 2005 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Ark Animal Hospital in August of 2010. Her professional interests include dentistry, surgery and nutrition. Dr. Neff enjoys interacting with clients and their pets and strengthening the bond between them. She lives in Hatfield and enjoys running, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Jenna Armstrong -
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received several awards for academic and professional achievement. Dr. Armstrong's professional interests reside with dogs and cats, as well as exotics including reptiles and birds. She lives in Hatboro with three cats and a rabbit, and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and kayaking. Dr. Armstrong also plays the viola, and has participated in local orchestras for the past ten years.

Dr. Brianne O'Loughlin -
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. O'Loughlin joined Ark Animal Hospital in August 2011. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After school, she completed a one year small animal internship at an emergency hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. O'Loughlin's professional interests are emergency medicine and complex medical cases. She lives in Doylestown, and in her spare time enjoys running, reading and yoga. She also likes to spend time with family, friends, and her two cats, Georgie and Audrey.
